DARE Programs

DARE Programs

The D.A.R.E. Program at the Sparks Police Department was first taught during the 1989-1990 school year. Between July 1991 and June 1994, D.A.R.E. was funded by a grant from the federal and state governments. Since July 1995, the D.A.R.E. Program has been fully funded by the City Of Sparks. The D.A.R.E. Program is provided to every sixth grade student in all fourteen elementary schools in the City Of Sparks. This Program teaches our youth alternatives to drug use and how to "Say No To Drugs".
